When Kobushi Judo Club was founded in 1976, Sensei Alf Hopkins (7th Dan) agreed to take on the position of Club President. Sensei and a number of other Dan grades who train with him come down to visit Kobushi Judo Club twice a year to run weekend courses for all its members.
